In the interest of keeping OKW different, I think you could have a similar supression unit that maybe doesn't use the MG42 specifically. OKW really doesn't have an answer to this at it represents a fairly big disadvantage unless you are using a commander. MGs are the best at area control and the first person to occupy the front with a good set of MGs in the right spots will usually dominate the map. Secondly, I find that because OKW doesn't have a buildable MG unit, I am always having to choose 1 of the only two commanders that offers the ability to deploy MGs. The cache could be a hybrid of both fuel and ammunition but each are at half value (or potentially a bit lower for balance). This single fuel cache would not replace the need for salvaging but would rather give it something to fall back on. What I propose is to give the OKW a single fuel cache in place of the usual 2 from other factions. It is simply too hard to keep up in the mid to late game when the fight switches over to tank combat. I think the reason for this is because it is missing certain options that the other factions can account for.įirstly, the salvaging mechanic operates at a shortfall for fuel income. If you are like me, you find it difficult to compete against the other factions when playing as OKW.
